I thought the radiators protected the frame...

Then you can let me know if it's really worth me doing it as well, I'm waiting for warmer weather as it's too cold in the garage at the moment - there's no way I could get a bike in my kitchen ...

So are frame pucks considered to be a part or an accessory ?

Pucks are a complete waste of time IMO......they either get ripped off or just transfer the impact energy into the frame anyway.
Lost count of the number of 'lightly damaged' pucks I've replaced, only to find the frame trashed underneath them once removed.

Pucks only exist because the insurance co.s got wise to early XB's being written off because their sidestands failed :idea:

Do I fit them or not No reason why I shouldn't as they fit OK despite what some people have said in the past...............don't have to alter them to fit .................will they do more harm than good ? don't know and it is one of those things that nobody ever will know. Will damage without them have been prevented ???? will damage with them not have happened without them?????? To Puck or not to Puck ......................that is the question

Well seeing as it's nice and warm in the kitchen i'm swaying on going in there and fitting them on in a few minutes .................................you never know when they are going to fall off the stand and crash into the worktop

pash wrote: I thought the radiators protected the frame... They do to a degree, but i have seen pics where the frame still got scratched ...got a set of ully ones off ebay so thinking along the lines that preventing the chances of it getting scratched has got to be a good thing.
