id rather sell the bike!

its not the fact the motor is highly tuned (except the race kit) its just the cheaper insurers wont insure modifications and the more expensive ones will. although there are a fair few things to declare.

What I meant was remove the ones that attract the higher insurance until you can afford them. I am sure the bike will perform well enough without them. Or insure the bike with them but express surprise when they question the legality of them... Choice is yours...

Who have you tried Chris? I've always found Carole Nash pretty accommodating with mine (all mods declared), but then I am old enough to be your mother ;) lOl

i have tried most of the big names as well as comparison sites. carole nash... your bike 'have not been modified. A modification means to actually change the vehicle by either appearance or mechanically, usually both. Examples of modifications are, but not limited to: different frame, rebores, different engine or customised paintwork.'

might be worth a phone call tomorrow cheers for the advise
