The bike started to make clicking noises from the front end, for some time now, but I did noting until yesterday night, when the clunk clunk from the head area started to worried me, so, from 18h to 23h30, minus 30 minutes for supper, I've discovered a completely destroy front wheel bearing, the left one, and two bone dry head bearings, they had only 20000 km on then, OK it as been raining like the completely Atlantic ocean in here for months now, but can that be the reason or are the XB bearings like poop? |

My CR bearings went front & rear & it seems pretty common. I read a thread on BadWeb about a triple bearing set-up that might have been a racing mod but I can't find it now... Anyone seen / heard of that? |

mcrbuelligan wrote: its good practice though expensive to change your bearings with a fresh pair of rubber Expensive is .....when your back right wheel bearing explodes and the spacer jumps out and carves itself a new hole for the axel!! Scary as hell..... is when it does this while your doing 150 with your knee scrapping pavement!!! |

The 2010 Buell range come with a 3 bearing rear wheel as standard, the extra bearing being on the drive side. According to my parts book it is only available in Villian black. These can be retrofitted onto older bikes if you order the appropriate axle and spacer. |

The destroy bearing was on the front wheel, and was a stock one as the wheel was new, result from a crash. |

The front wheel is still the same design - only 2 sets of bearings. Interestingly the 3 bearing configuration rear wheel has a different part number for the bearings and also has a separate dust seal, compared to the older model. Part number for the 3 bearing rear wheel is G0309.7AAYT - bearing E0005.5AK - dust seal EA0002.AK - cannot help with axle and spacers as I am quoting from a 1125 parts manual. |

Do the 10 models have two bearings on the gearbox output shaft too? |
