Like wkd1 I really like the taill that EBR fit to the 1190RR, I wanted to see what it would look like fitted to a 1125R, so -

OK, so it was only done in paint, and I'm crap at it, but you get the idea !

Now if they could just redesign the pods ...

Wkd1 posted saying that EBR emailed him saying that it will be available soon.

If you look at the tail here, it looks as if the battery mounts under the seat - but it will have to be the lightweight one, but wkd1 was wondering if a battery could be fitted next to the exhaust if you fitted a smaller aftermarket one. I'm wondering if there may be room in the tail itself. The other thing to consider is the tail light etc, but hopefully a tail tidy can be fitted, it shouldn't be too difficult and could also incorporate a tail light with the number plate and indicators.

cosmetically - doesnt match the curves of the front at all, looks odd

As noted I think that tail is great, but I think the bike has to be fully faired to get the "right" look. as discussed in a different thread I think the new battery could be fitted in the space left by the rear section of the standard can, or behind a Pod on my track bike as the fans will be removed.
Prices should be posted in a few weeks, but don't expect it to be cheap subframe is magnesium, under tray only avaliable in carbon fibre :?

thanks for thinking of me sportster_mann

so the plan will be 12 months from now fully sorted R for track use, looking as close to the 1190RR as possible, and a CR with a lighting back end...sorted, just need to get back to the UK for more than a week at a time to get on with it  spending so much time in china that i'm thinking about buying an ex racing school bike to keep at the shanghi circuit to play on.... its only £65 for the whole day on the old F1 Track 8-)

Like Wkd1 I'm going the fairing route - I've got a pair of the Buell side panels and am trying to find a belly pan that I can mate up. But if EBR release the fairings soon along with the rest of the body kit at a reasonable price then I may go that way instead.

Two smaller batteries, perhaps :?:

Why did they stop putting kickstarts on bikes :?:

the new nano battery on the EBR site is small enough to fit in the two places that i was thinking about... it will however fit within the undertray that is shown in the new pics on his facebook page...... just waiting on costs as that subframe looks to be a work of art ( ie bloody expensive!)

The pods may be gone but the rads are still there - but they are now front facing - if you take a look at the original front facing pic on facebook you can see them.

As it's based on a 1125R I wonder what it would take to get it through SVA ?
