a friend of mine has done his first bit of home spannering on his m2 and messed it up .

chris and myself are going to have a look and try to fix it tomorrow but need zsome tips

he has pulled off the cam casing but never took out the bolt in behind the timing sensor so has pulled out the cam that is attached to the casing which in turn has ballsed up the timing

chris has had a quick look and the timing bowl ( not the correct name i know but that,s what he called it) it wont separate from the cam so the hole thing is currently one piece

1 )does the timing bowl come off the cam

2)does the cam come off the casing

3)how do we get the timing back to where it should be

4)how hard should i slap him

thanks in advance

As a yoof I used to break most things I touched with a spanner. My big brother used to beat the shit out of me when I did it though, so it was steep learning curve.

In my view, pain and Education should always go hand in hand ;) 8-) lOl lOl

At least you had access to spanners! - My dad has never moved past adjustable spanners. Good one mind. Still has it.

In his defense he's more of a woodworker.

You try tightening a carriage bolt with a chisel! - knackers the edge.
