Hi
Just wanted to say what a great job Tubbs did on my exhaust, quick turn around and kept me informed all the way. Thanks to all who put me in touch with this guy I owe you

I don't want to embarrass Tubbs with too much praise but I'm another happy customer. I've done a few hundred miles since the mod and my 09 XB12 runs fine and sounds much better than the tinny standard can, but not too loud. Good service and value to boot.

I know I've said it before, but I'm a happy Tubbs pipe customer as well :yup:

A refreshingly pleasant experience dealing with him after shite I had with the Remus 8-)

Adam, so how's the finish on the tubbs exhaust holding up ? My ceramic coated one is now showing signs of the rust monster ...

And my CR exhaust is going rusty as well - and it's only been on the road for three months ... :headbang:

I do have another original exhaust though - so I must get it to tubbs to work his magic ... 8-)

I would be interested in how the Tubbs magic coating is holding up too :yup:

Lasting very well :yup: The coating is extremely tough and once cured seems as good, if not better, than Camcoat. There's a few small nicks in the front of the can from stones etc that could do with a touch up, but that's down to me riding down my track lOl
Rust around the rear mount is significantly less than the std pipe I had on for a similar length of time because Tubbs cut the bottom corners out of the mount (with no loss of strength owing to triangulation) to prevent water being trapped there.

I must add that I wash and blow dry my bikes each time they're used, so that may help.

I have one done too. Quick turnaround and kept me informed. Bike runs nicely with the exhaust and a k&n without doing any ECMSpy stuff, unlike my Termignoni end can.

When you wash your bike wipe acf50 all over the can :yup: protects it fairly well ...smokes like fuck the next time you warm it up though ...have been asked twice now if I needed a fire extinguisher lOl ...........I just replied Nah i'm gonna let it burn lOl

Yeah, I use that stuff. Didn't help the standard can.

My bike's been outside for two winters now and a few bolts have gone furry and a little paint bubbling on the mirrors but apart from that it ain't too bad.

Just wanted to add my 2p worth! Tubbs exhaust on my 1125R and its brill! Spunds great and no problem with the fuelling. Looks a bit odd the 1st couple of times you ride it - looks like the bikes about to burst into flames, but this is only while the coating cures. :4roz:

OK, my original exhaust is starting to look pretty bad, so it'll soon be time to go and get a warranty replacement.

What do you think the chances are of the dealer just giving me a new exhaust without having to take my old one off so I can just send the new one to tubbs for him to work his magic on?

Failing that, what's the turnaround time for the mod?

I'm hoping to see a tubbs mod this week, but am I right in thinking that all oem modded exhausts sound the same?

I would be interested to see if you get it replaced under warranty now Buell UK seem to be clamping down... Good luck though!
