 Post subject: FS tensioner gone stiff

Do these need lubrication? I thought they were maintenece free? mine has gone that it was not keeping the belt tight, thoughts any one?

There was a recall a few years ago, maybe yours slipped through the net - Check with Trojan.

Failing that, if it has lived through the ravages of winter, you may want to oil the pivots (there is one local to me that needs some TLC)...

wd40 seems to have sorted it, the belt aint slipping any more and the pulley feels tight on tin belt again. :)
