Has anyone used a re-chroming company, in the UK, that they can recommend? |

These are good. I used them many years ago to have my FS1E mudguard rechromed. Showing my age now http://www.classicsandchrome.co.uk/5.html |

Make sure they use the correct traditional method for doing it. A lot of places don't do it properly these days because Cyanide is used in the traditional process - so I'm told. I've used a firm called George Jones in Telford for nickle plating Mettisse frames in the past. Dunno if they do chrome though Fabricated stuff can distort quite dramatically whilst being plated - again don't know why, since the temperature aren't particularlt high. Stuff can become brittle as well, I think due to hydrogen inclusion |
