Hi, i am looking to get a steering damper for my 2004 xb9sx as i had a tank slepper & it chucked me off & helped me break my shoulder blade(not funny)haha , i have nearly got all the parts i need to get it back on the road, i have put a set of longer & lower renthals on it so i lean over it a bit more but i want to put a steering damper on it this time cos i dont want a tank slapper again.......... there dosent seem to be many to choose from, does any of you guys have 1 & where did you get it + where is best mounting point? |

cheaper option .. has your suspension been set to your weight , inc. your riding kit ,as this and tyre pressures , make a hell of a difference to the XB's short wheel base |

Did you ride your new bike without making any changes for your weight and style of riding. |

Yes try that. Start off with a softer set up and build from that. The steep front end needs to be known and the balance with the rear makes a big diff. Just take it easy for a while untill you know what is going on with the suspension. |

I used to get nasty tank slappers and with my weight at 16 stone ish i just turned up the rear pre-load t its max and since no tank slapping to cause concern. |
