Some of you may recall that last year I sold my beautifull Buell S2 which now lives with it's new owner in sunny France. This was just before Hardly Ableson pulled the plug on Eric so i didn't get a huuuuuge price for it. I replaced it with a KTM LC4 640 thinking it would better suit my needs....well, it doesn't. I've hardly ridden the damn thing, just gone out and washed it today and can hardly bear to look at it.....How could I have been so cruelly seduced by this Austrian tart?

Anyways, I'm gonna sell the damn thing and get me another REAL bike......more chance of winning the lottery than finding another S2 so keep 'em peeled for a tidy S1 eh?

What a prat I am............

Maybe this would fill the hole left by the loss of your buell...

If I could scrape together the €28,000 I know where I would be headed for another bike... (even if it is french)!

Looks like Spook is thinking about moving his S1W on.

I'm pretty sure you must know, but the S1 and S2 are very different beasts. Any chance of taking a ride on an s1 before you go that way? Not saying you would regret buying one - it's just that you might have to end up getting one and then still searching for an S2 as well. Not a bad situation to be in, I spose, if your garage will fit the two :D .

Yeah, I know what you're saying but S2's in any condition are rarer than hens teeth never mind a nice one.....when was the last one ( other than mine) you saw for sale?......and I don't like the style of the S3's....similar to the S2 but different in all the wrong ways.....Even while I had the S2 I always fancied an S1 and even if I ended up not getting on with it, they aren't that difficult to sell on.........

Anyway, got my eye on Spooks thread in the for sale section....

edit: replies crossed in the ether.....cheers Motorad but I'm not sure about importing a bike unseen/untested.........good price though!

For that price, you could import it, sort it (or have it sorted) and still come out where you would probably be if you were to find a well-sorted one locally. Or even fly to NY or Boston, zip a coupla hours over to there, do the deal, arrange the shipping, and have a mini-holiday in the bargain.

S2's and S1's both hit the buttons - just different ones. Tough choice.

I regret not test riding an X1 when my friend offered. Didn't realise he was going to sell it at first chance he had............................days later traded in for a convertible! His X1 was my first introduction to Buell and it thumped away on idle with his performance pipe and it impressed me right from the start! Would have saved me £4400 if I'd bought that one as apposed to my XB12ss not to mentioned all the extras I've paid since!
