PostPosted: 26 Jul 2010 18:45
Just got back from a 4 day trip up North and had a great time. But on my return and opening the mail. To my surprise  a speeding ticket. Must add that this will be the first in 39 years of biking.
Need to know. Will my ball's be roasted over a spit roast, can I say the bike made me do it, due to the twat in front was only doing 25 mph or I was just having some fun.
Shall say that was doing according to Mr plods records doing 75mph in a 50 mph zone. Not a built up area.
Please give info re wether I should be hung, drawn or quatered by the judge or kiss arse.
Warning to you all. Stay away from Derby as mr plod are looking out for you big time as they have nothing better to do. Noticed as took a trip to Matlock and not many bikers turned up.

Came a week after. On the spot the bastards in Derby and no messing.
Hold my hand up and may have gone over the limit  but only on an open road with no danger to any other road user.
Shall not be visiting Derby in the future due to the Mr plod.

3 points and a £60 fine I should imagine, have they not offered you that? if they have and you have a clean licence take it and don't do it again.

They also usually let you do the retrain course where they rehabilitate you from the heinous crime you have comitted.

Failing that and if you have very deep pockets pay a top class motoring brief a sh*tload of money to make it go away.

Do they offer the course if you are that far over the limit? I thought it was only if you were a few mph over.

One ticket(3 points) doesn`t really effect insurance so it`s not too bad.

It depends on which way you want to go with it ?

challenge it or bend over and take it -

Get free legal before you go ahead with a challenge - I think you get an hour free.

or pay the fine - go on a course etc etc
