Ok riders. What problems have you actually suffered with your uly's? and at what mileage. How many of you have left things fairly standard and had NO probs? |

The only thing I've done to mine is the earth mod, however she's booked in with Maz in Sept for a new tyre & other Maz things. She runs really well & I've not had any problems........so far & she's used every day |

2006 Ulysses coming up to 20k miles and no problems other than self-induced (i.e. unplanned off-roading in Harz last summer). Entirely Maz maintained, oils changed every 2500m, fs tensioner, Maz breather mod and grease nipple. I had more issues with my firebolt. I think the Ully encourages more "sensible" riding style - it is just so damn comfy. Dave |

Problems I've had with my Uly. Hmmm, where do I start? 1) I keep having to put petrol in it 2) I don't have enough time to ride to all the places I want to take it to 3) I'm not as good at cornering as it is 4) Flies and other bugs are attracted to it in significant numbers 5) I have to keep explaining its many engineering quirks to rice-burning types In short, |

Thanks for that. The comments match my feelings. It is basically sound and as with all vehicles there are pro,s and cons.No point worrying.I will continue to do my own servicing and one day may be as good as the legendary Maz> |

I done all the necassary mods the only problem I have had (bike has now done 15000 miles) is that I now struggle with the foot positioning due to a knackered hip It is a lovely bike that I wish had been avialable in the 1970's when I could have got the best out of it |

My last bike was a Uly, had it for 2 1/2 years, changed the oil once, kept it completely standard (not even a FS tensioner) and with the exception of it running on one cylinder once (cured with new plugs) it never let me down. 8000 odd miles on it and I wasn't very nice to it when i rode it either! |

08 spec XB12X - 29,660 miles to date and it's had no major problems. Serviced from new by Jon at my not-so-local Buell dealer, Black Bear, Newmarket. |

Excellent. Generally good news. How much better to hear praise rather than grumbles. I have never had a bike which was devoid of probes. We are big boys and know what we are getting into when we buy our toys. |
