Someone can probably help out here, but I would think this unit will give you a higher rev limit and a more advanced ignition curve.

I found on my S1 that I wanted a more retarded curve (sure, I have a reduced squish clearance and different head to you).

I think you would be better off with a Dynatek (or Screaming Eagle) unit and a trip to visit Tubbs to pick the right jet and curve.

It allows you to rev to 6800rpm instead of 6300rpm. Usually fitted in conjunction with the full race kit, ie. filter, headers and silencer (on an S1 anyway).

My S1 revs to 6800 with the standard ignition, are you saying it is better than the M2 ignition?

Thanks for the helpful replies :yup: The HSR42 made a massive difference to the bikes performance, I think I'll leave it there for now..... what I really need is a rev counter :old: .

How about getting some James N4 cams for it? Just like the ones fitted to X1 by default? That should spice things up a bit. :yup:
