So ive come to the conclusion my stock mirrors are very good at what they are intended for, but look hideous! I want to have visibility behind Me, but at the same time when I'm splitting lanes I don't want to have to worry about clipping a mirror because I installed bar end mirrors are so much wider than my bike. I Really like the idea of a convex mirror, even better if I can get it mounted to my "windscreen". I ride a xb12ss so I have a hard time calling it a windscreen when it blocks no wind...
Any ideas from the forum members? I'm quite capable of drilling holes and mounting brackets if thats what it is going to take. But I'm no engineer, so I don't quite have the skills to create from scratch a pair of awesome mirrors.

How droll :4roz:

I'm on a similar hunt Elroy - But there's no reason for bar-ends to stick out.

I've got those Motrax jobbies on my road bikes. Well made and work brilliantly. Throw away the expanding sleeve they're supplied with and get down the builders merchant for a suitably sized Rawlbolt ;)

Ever so slightly convex, I think. They give an excellent arc of vision :yup:

I've actually used the Bug Eyes before - single one was enough. Best mirror I've even used, including stock antenna on the M2, bar-ends, and the horrible XBR mirrors...

No vibration at all, and you can look anywhere you want to behind you, just by moving your head a little. Takes a bit of getting used to, but worked very well for me.

Look bug-ugly, though... but that never worries me...

I could imagine them getting knocked during a life saver movement if you`re in a "Head down arse up" position. I maybe wrong but I`m not convinced they`d stand up to prolonged use, especially if you tend to go the naughty side of ???mph ;)

I fitted a pair of the Aprilia Tuono mirrors to my Uly, which are just a straight swap with no mods required. They look way better than the stock mirrors, but still vibrate just as much.
