Post subject:  Help required in Essex (ish)

Hi again all. I'm in need of a kind soul to help with my XB. I'm getting the usual "popping" and jerky throttle response. I don't know where to start with ECM spy, sooooooooooooo what I need is someone who can set my bike up for me?
I've no idea just how easy/complicated the process is , so any advice would be welcome.
Bike is a 09 XB12XT Ulysses, 2300 miles, std exhaust, breather mod done.

08 and later Buells
The 08 and later have a completely different procedure and doesn’t need ECMSpy.

Turn the ignition on, engine kill switch to run, twist the throttle 3 times - keep the throttle fully open for one second and fully closed for one second.

Job done!

Thank you Sir, I shall try that as soon as it stops raining.

Gotta be honest, I thought you were pulling my chain (I suppose stretching my belt is more appropriate) but it worked a treat!!! Thanks again Nutah and Pash.
She's running much sweeter now.
Whilst cleaning her after a ride I've found one of the exhaust straps has come off and the dreaded (but expected) rust has appeared at a seam, so it's time for a new one under warranty.
