Spin today reminded me..... Is it the XT screen of just my helmet, Shoei Multitec, but when I'm out on faster roads or more wind on less fast roads all I can hear is bloody wind noise. Is this mainly the helmet or anything to do with the XT screen height etc ? Want to get a C3 anyway !! Eric. |

Personally I think it can be a combination.... I have a SHOEI XR100, It's very quiet on the Buell, but on the Triumph, it was noisey, it seemed the fly screen on the Triumph directed the wind at the bottom of my lid, if I ducked or sat forward it would go quiet again!! |

I was warned away from the Multitec for just that reason. My C3 is v quiet. I've worn earplugs for donkey's years, but haven't bothered at all this year, since getting the Schuberth. |

I have an XT and a Shoei XR1000 and it's ridiculously noisy (I'm 6' tall). It's so bad that I've now got a mild tinnitus from riding on the motorway at speed into a strong headwind with this combination. I tried the Palmer brackets but that didn't work for me and so now I'm using a screen from the X which is much better, but just puts a bit more wind on my chest. Get some hearing protection before it's too late! Can recommend Ultimate Ear or Howard Leight Max Lite earplugs. My next helmet will be test-ridden before purchase for sure. |

I wear the earplugs no matter what.never without them. I did once try both my screens without earplugs just to see the difference between my DoubleBubble and racing. The DB definately had less wind noise/buffeting so your screen may not be helping matters. |

I've got a Dainese helmet which is great but I should wear earplugs especially on a long ride. I forgot to put them in on sunday and it became uncomfortable after a while because of the noise. |
