Since i fitted the new swinger to the M1,i haven't fitted a rear hugger as it won't fit :? so the alloy oil tank is taking a peppering and if i don't do something soon it will ruin the polished surface

So what about this
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Baking-Sheet-Tray ... 5d2aebf5db

Cut to shape and silicone it onto the back of the oil tank

:yc: OR :app:

What I have done in the past, is to polsh up the tank, then cover the front faces with fablon, it lasts well, and keeps the tank looking good, when it gets tatty, pull off and re-polish to remove all glue and re-cover. 8-)

I cut and shaped an old rubber/plastic bin and attached that when I had my M1, the curved shape of the bin fit a treat and it did the job really well. Will see if I still have the pics

So you've got a nice polished oil tank and now you want to cover it with some piece of shit to protect it?
Who are you saving it for?
