A question if someone could explain to a numpty like me

- what Is the "crankcase negative vent system " mentioned on this lovely S1WL?

Cheers :D :D

two rubber pipes that connect to the (hideous looking) air filter
that suck crank case gases , then feed them back into the air filter(did i mention it looks hideous)
wrong colour tank looks wrong too (IMO, but hey what's that worth)

It doesn't hold together for me. Why go so far as to push a 1200 engine up to 1400, but not even go to an aftermarket shock? If he wanted a bike that would go and stop faster, he should have just bought something else and left an S1W alone. Also true that the intake and tank aren't helping, either.

:yt: Why go to all that trouble with go fast and stop fast without sorting handling and 'not riding it hard' defeats the object in my book. :?

:?: Don't all S1WL have a polished alloy dash, or is that just mine. :?

Thanks for the explanation :yup: but what's the purpose - to reduce pressure on seals etc or is it emissions related ?

IMO The air filter fits in well with lines on bike - :couch: the traditional Forcewinder Everyone fits always looks out of synch with the Bike design lOl - agree an AST would be a must but at $ 4800 - bike still looks a great deal - now where's my list for Santa :D :D

emissions related :yup:

TBH it's better to vent them to a catch can or atmosphere
stops the bike ingesting it's own puke , waste by products

Is it a good idea to have two different sorts of brake caliper on the same front end?

Are they not the same caliper?

Is that an airfilter on the side or a beehive?
Maybe the bees can reduce emissions by eating them and turning them into Carbon DiHoneycide.

I agree but come on .......anything looks better than that " Heath Robinson " style bit of plumbing - called a Forcewinder- even with a left over sock trying to disguise it ;) ;)

Not totally sure difficult to tell when its on the bike but I would rather have a matched set and lose the Buell one just to be sure along with the matching master cylinder

Bike's an ill-conceived POS IMO....all monies spent in wrong departments, no attention to detail etc........hasn't even had all recalls done
