Can anyone tell me a source for S1 indicators? I assume they are some pattern part, and can be had cheaper than a Buell dealer...

I *think* they are the same as a BMW F650CS...

Pash - why standard ones and not LED :?: standard ones tend to fall apart, IMX.

Nick, the cheapo S1/M2 winkers were used on quite a few bikes, scooters of the era, Ducati Monster etc. Myself, if I were you, I'd get an original type set to keep for posterity and consider using the >99 bendy type ones for day to day use. I think the bendy ones are better day to day. HTH.

Indeed it does, thanks. I want to keep the bike standard, so the standard winkers will go back on.

The bendies, like on my XB do look a little more attractive, but they are not standard, and although I have not measured the diameter of the thread on the newer winkers, I don’t want to have to start drilling holes out.

Interesting that anyone would design winkers like the standard S1 ones which break as soon as you put load on them….
Where is a good source for bendy ones> just in case I change my mind….

Yes, I thought you were thinking along those lines. I bought a set of the >99 Buell bendy ones. They're in a box someplace.............

FWIW, The >99 mirrors are also a lot better than the earlier really cheapo looking ones fitted to S1/M2 of the era too and again, IMO, are a good bet for daily use.

Didn't we discover that the Gilera DNA ones are a good replacement?
