The front muffler strap has broken on the XB9R (2004). Is it necessary to drop the rear straps to fit the front one because it looks like a shit of a job :(

Is it safe to ride with the broken strap until I can get someone who knows what they are doing to fix it, if I can't. Advice would be most welcomed :)

At a guess, I'd think the rear strap would fail quite quickly without a front fitted. Don't tighten them very much when you fit new ones ;)

Muffler needs to be removed to fit a new front strap ie. the front saddle has to come off to pass the new strap through.
I wouldn't ride with a broken front strap as it puts a lot of strain on the headers/head studs.
