had a wonderfull afternoon beaing an apprentice agian with von shackleford got to use his grinding machines for a project ,basically we needed to take 20 THOU of a 2" by 1" ID by half inch deep groove ball bearing for a von shacklford coversion :sun: and reduce a 60 THOU hardened shim to 50 THOU ,and i got to DOOOO IIIIT yeeeeeeeeee haaaaaaaaaa ,some of his grinders are self made to do specific jobs ,have posted two vids on you tube 1,willy buell resizing the od ,the dial gauge in the vid is in 1 micron increments (thats ONE 25th of a thou ) 2 willy buell shim grinding ,some days life cant get any BETTER :sun: :yup: cant do what you clever people do, a link ,interested or curious have a look ( dont think my spelling right proppper tonight ,hey ho ,) al for now tudal pip :dance: :sun:

Thats the only problem I found with Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire is next to it lOl
