Friends,

I started a thread over on BedWeb about lowering my Uly. I purchase the Mizu spacer skirt that brought my ride 1" closer to the ground. It worked great for me, I can now touch both feet, or flat foot one without looking like a spider monkey. I have a 29" inseam and have always struggled with taller machines.

The boys in America have decided that 100 Euro is a little steep for a piece of aluminum. They are making thier own spacer from billit aluminum and are collecting interested parties. They have 12 committed customers so far but would like to get 20 so the CNC programming drops to a reasonable price. Anybody interested can check this thread:

I hope this helps anyone who was considering what to do about the tippy toes situation.

I sprung for the Mizu item and I'm very happy with the results, that said, I was a little put off on the price 100 Euro = 140 dollars, for a single piece of glorified aluminum skirt washer.

I can easily send a photo of the Mizu product and of it fitted on my bike. They haven't made the first run of pieces yet so there are no photos. I can tell you that they have purchased a commercially available part from a reputable manufacturer and taken very accurate measurements as a start point. I cannot comment any further as I am not involved with endeavor, just passing on an opportunity.

Send us the Mizu picture fitted and unfitted...

I am guessing it is a collar with a slot in it...

100 Eu is probably not that bad a price...

Yeah, that's weird - why didn't they try it out before? They specifically made low versions of the bikes.
I'm 5' 11" - wouldn't want to be any shorter on my STT

I also used MIZU lowering ring. 100.00 euro might be steep, but if it prevents dropping the bike and doing a bit of damage then I think its worth it.Also having TUV approval is important in Europe.
I may be a short arse but the Uly is the best fun bike I have ever ridden, besides, half the roads in Ireland resemble dirt tracks at the moment and the Uly makes little of potholes and other irregularities.

XTs don't come in fast orange.

And they are not for off-road like the X... I mean, just look at the front mudguard / fender...
