No need to split the cases.......if you look at the base of your sump, you'll see a removeable plug for the scavenge drilling.......this is where the screen is inserted.
Dims for the screen are 108x25mm......roll this to an 8mm dia :idea:
Once fitted, the screen should be removed and cleaned when servicing the bike.

What did you use Maz to prevent getting any frayed edges???

If it was brass screen then you could lay a bead of solder on the edges to prevent the fraying,

Would you remove the screen with long nose pliers or could you make a new brass scavenge plug and solder the screen to it.

Would such a narrow screen clog up quickly in the event of a failure somewhere, just a thought cos when i cleaned my oil tank out after my disaster there was a shit load of crap in the bottom.
Suppose it would save the pump (mine looked like willy had been there with the grinder), any thoughts on oil starvation if a clogged/semi clogged filter went unnoticed such as wet sumping.

.......I haven't fitted a screen to any bikes yet and dont think I will be :)
