I did put about 1metre of cable on mine though because the diagnostic plug on the 1125 is under the left side pod and my thinking is if I wanted to do any logging the module would need to be somewhere safe like in my tankbag rather than behind the pod suffering from all the heat and vibration. 8-) 8-)

I'm a little late to the party. Where did you acquire the dongle?

You need one of these
https://www.sparkfun.com/products/10269
then just a few other very cheap components as shown in Pash's helpful links :)

I had a problem getting it to work the first few times but tried again next morning and it went exactly as planned so I suspect the laptop just needed rebooting.

I've just realised why I couldn't connect (and I think misunderstood Pash's question :oooops: ) ...... when I typed in $$$ and it didn't reply Pash asked if i'd done it soon enough ....I thought he meant soon enough after connecting Lynxterm to the module. Just been reading up on the Bluesmirf and you have to connect to it with the Lynxterm within 60 seconds of powering up the Bluesmirf module ....I had my bluesmirf powered up for a while before trying :oooops:

Just had another play with this and can see all live data etc ..... found how to start logging which on the Samsung S2 is by pressing the bottom left button on the phone whilst ecmdroid is open then selecting Log from the pop up menu.
Only thing I can't do is find the log file afterwards which should be as it says on here lOl
https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... roid&hl=en

So if anyone else has used this yet and found the logfile let me know lOl

Just had another play with ecmdroid and found that the logfile on my Samsung S2 when connected to the PC is stored in Computer / GT-I1900 / Phone (not card as expected) / Android / data / org.ecmdroid / files / log 8-) so just installed megalog viewer on this laptop to allow me to see it 8-)
If I remember on Sunday i will bring the dongle with me to the NMM so anybody that wants to see what ecmdroid is like we'll be able to plug it in to your bike :yup:

I've been using this on my XB-Blast for a while now, it works great.

The latest update to ECMDroid also lets you burn the .epr file that's dumped from ECMSpy so you don't have to take your computer to your bike for connection (whether BT or hardwire).

I've been using an HTC Sensation 4G and HTC One, both work dandy.

The only thing to remember is that the .msl file that comes out of ECMDroid has a 10-bit value for the TPS where the ECM really only uses 8-bit values. To convert it, change the file extension from .msl to .xls and open with Excel or your other favorite spreadsheet program. Rename the "TPS 10Bit" and call it "TPS 8Bit" (or whatever the exact letters are). Make a formula that takes the TPD (Throttle Position Degrees) and multiplies it by 3.

Another thread elsewhere says to divide the 10bit by 4 ... THIS DOES NOT WORK!

Copy your formula down the column. Then copy the column and "Paste Special" and select "values" (or "text" and "numbers" if you're using Open Office). Make sure there is no more "TPS 10Bit" column and only the values appear in the "TPS 8Bit" column (you should not see an equals sign (=) in the field). Save your file as an .xls tab-delimited file. Exit the program.

Now rename the file extension back to .msl and open it in MegaLogViewer.
