When riding you should be seeing the voltage in the high 13's up to about 14.2 if it's charging ok ....it may drop into the low 12's when hot and ticking over at times if it has the harniess upgrade fitted. The low fuel light sometimes comes on when cold and was cured by a new instrument cluster but is something that you can live with as long as it goes back out when the bike warms up (unless you are actually low on fuel lOl ).
The revs rising happens on mine if you touch the throttle just after starting from cold and is quite normal .

Ah haa, I've sussed the 6, is actually supposed to be B

so B1005, states from the Electrical manual, the fuel level sender is LOW/HIGH/OPEN

BUT the engine fault light is still there....

I am going to a garage this afty, to get some fuel, so will report back after I fill her up,
also as Kevmean has stated I want to check the running voltage too.

Kev's is an 09 like my ECM, so rev up is normal I guess.

Have you got ECMSpy for Mono to clear the codes?

No, but I reckon I could do with it....

BUT, I think I have sussed the fault/s

First I found the rear spark/coil fixing bolt loose, and tonight, after giving all wiring a visual inspection, I found the wires feeding the status/regulator connector block, had become bare, this was underneath and was resting on the top of the rear shock/damper, so obviously this will have shorting out, intermittently, this may have caused the voltage to drop, causing the fault code.

I reinstalled the original ECM, and ran it again, after it had warmed up, the fault light went out....
Yippeee, I think it's sorted!!
