Same price as Southamptom HD. Been looking through the manuel regarding strip down and rebuild there is a couple of specialist tools required ie crank locator tool !

How much is a crank from an 08/09/10?

It fits and has a bigger pin, so longer life. Only thing it doesn't have is the mark for timing, this can be added with ease, by dot punch for example.

As for special tools, and I am no expert; when I replaced a crank in one of my engines the only issue I had was ensuring I had the correct pinion bearing selected, and I got advice and help off Maz with that...

Not sure why Powerglides cannot overhaul your crank, they say they have new crank pins. I guess they cannot get the longer rod for the 9... Are your rods totally knackered?

He said the cost of rebuild will be very close to that of a new one.

What is the point of them bigging themselves up with special crank pins?

Yeah, but you will need all the electricals including ECM and harness.

Oil pipes too, and maybe swinging arm.

I would prefer to use my swing arm as much better looking unit.

You will need custom-built oil lines then, as a 2004 swingarm has all fittings on the bottom side.

But I believe the original crank pin was used.

Re build with new big end bearings, honed rods and they made new a new pin as well, all in for £230
