Shame.... Now if it had been the Saturday 13th February, I would be down at Tubbs' place picking up my Blast (hopefully). It would have been good to meet up with some more Buelligans.

Pressure will be on me then....

My plan will be:

1. Save ECM content of Albert's bike
2. Lock AFVs front and rear at 100% - I wouldn't normally do this cos by the time I am ready to do the Open Loop maps, I will have got fantastically smooth Closed Loop and Closed Loop Learn regions.
3. Put my two wideband LC-1s in the bike - Tubbs can help us here - I will make a harness up to connect them to the battery charging plug.
4. Run the bike up to temperature
5. Get ECMSpy and LogWorks (LC-1 software) visible on the screen running live - ECMSpy (the new one) will log from a wideband sensor in addition to the Buell ECM output, but I will use LogWorks as a fall back plan.
6. I will run snagit to record what goes on on the PC screen
7. When up to temperature, we will do three accels
8. Albert, Tubbs and Colin can shut the bike down, grab a coffee
9. Load the data into Excel (may do MegaLogViewer also) and create a correction for the front and rear maps. I *may* come up with an ignition timing solution also, depending on the change in volumetric efficiency (estimated from power and fuel flow).
10. Run the bike up to temperature and perform three more runs to check the AFR
11. If all is good, we can shut down then put the next exhaust on. I will be having a McDonalds at that point...
12. Then back to 4. and repeat for as many exhausts as Albert brings.

Whichever exhaust performs best, Albert and I can discuss a time to set the rest of the map up - we will do that on the road by logging data.

The cool thing is that Albert's bike is an Erik Buell Signature model, just like mine :D
