Hi

I looked at the price of forcewinder air intakes i thought i could make my self one, so i used a K&N filter and bit of stainless pipe. I made it out of 60mmOD pipe hence plenty of clearance for all apertures, but when on the warm up valve and i try to ride it just dies it is definitely the bend ie run okay with screamin eagle stage one and with no K&N.

So is it because the air is not entering the carb in a linear flow? (ie straight enough)

Help appreciated

You haven't allowed for the float chamber vent ie. the mounting flange has closed it

Tidy old tuber mate ;) I would chuck that carb away and get your self a Mikuni, the front disc looks like it needs updating too, and by the way tidy those breather hoses as well :)
