Has anybody ever noticed a stiffness in steering due to bearings? I had a two way restriction that I initially thought was tight cables after the engine rotation but I'm beginning to doubt the head races!.....
This is the type of restriction that can sometimes try to flick you off when turning but lack of traction adds to that effect, I'm wondering with decent grip I may not experience this?....

If the bearings are worn enough to become notchy, then it's a serious safety issue. I wouldn't ride any bike until they were sorted. Sliding the forks out of the yokes and then feeling them is the only reliable way of telling.
