10amp fuse blowing check the cables aren't chaffed , burnt or broken an flapping around sounds more like a short to earth give all the electrics a good looking at , for any burn marks what the dealer may have done is plug in a diagnostic tester which says problem with sensor X but this could be the cabling to X rather than X itself |

well guys n girls you have possibly saved my sanity, had a dry day and stripped the bike down to try and find electrical fault and followed ur advise to look for damaged cable/fraid wire and found 7 yes 7 slightly damaged sections that had worn through!!.O.M.G!!. so dispatched the old electrical tape and patched up the problems.and went out on a good 3hr blast in all sorts of conditions.(free riding/town stop n start traffic/stationary)and fingers crossed no blown fuse!! and strangely Im sure the old girl was purring or should I say throbbing like never before.so fingers still crossed still I cant thank you enough for my sanity and my very empty wallet.cant imagine what this might have cost me if I had to have a garage find a repair this!!. thank you sooooooo much. |
