Guys I want to check the primary chain, as on start-up sometimes there is a rattle from that area? what do i need to look out for any other issues.

Do not start your bike again until you've checked this out (seriously )

You may have a broken tensioner (if it's not the later type). It's possible that bits from this could get eaten by the gearbox, changing an easy and cheap repair into a very expensive one
