do you know if it's front or rear switch ?

try unplugging the front switch , which IIRC has small female spade terminals
if its still on try unplugging the rear one

Disconnect each switch in turn... Check the brake light...

Washed the bike recently ? Or been riding in rain ? Check that water hasn't collected in the "well" where the wiring goes into the rear brake switch - it happened to me. If so dry it out and fill it with something to stop water from getting in ...

interestingly the brake light is working perfectly whilst ignition is switched on but a racing pulse effect when the motor is running front or rear brake applied ?

Sounds like a dodgy connection.

In any case, here's 3 simple things to check...

- Bulb (both filaments need to be working. One for tail light, one for breaking
- Fuse (think it's the 'AAC' one)
- Connections to the light unit - there's 3 wires leading to the light unit and mine went a bit 'pulsey' after doing my bomber conversion...

...nothing at all to do with my insufficient wiring :oooops:
