 Post subject: Catalyst or not?

Looking to buy an EBR race ECM for me 1125r in the hope that it will be a bit smoother below 2500 rpm. However dunno if UK bikes are cat or non cat. :oooops: am I right in thinking that cats are only for US models?

UK/European models have a cat fitted as standard - it's mandatory. Aftermarket exhausts are a different story, you will need to check with the manufacturer. If you've had your standard exhaust modified you need to check with whoever did it as they may have removed the cat.

Some US States ( notably California ) mandate for a cat as well, whereas others do not ...

You mean you want it to run smoother when it's ticking over on the drive?

The only bikes designed to do anything at 2500rpm are single cylinder trailies. IMHO
