I have replaced the engine in my 2004 Firebolt with a 2007 Ulysses one. :D Almost all goes very well but I seem to be travelling much faster than before  .....I have cross checked with another couple of bikes and the Speedometer is reading around 12% fast. The instrument is original to the bike. I reckon that I have missed something in the ratios. I wondered if anyone has any experience of this and had identified a remedy?
......wish the weather was a bit better. So many miles still to cover.

Pash,

Thank you very much - as ever for the calibration data. ;)
I was going to look for a post 06 XB12R or Ulysses speedo but that will be wrong, because the belt ratio is different. I am considering and in-line adjuster from Dakota Digital because it looks like whatever I do I will need to adjust the calibration someway of another. Any experience of thses things?

Of course I may just be going around the long way - I usually do......

All the best,

Secondary transmission ratio is the same for all XB since 2004.

I never got an answer when I had the same problem and asked the same question about 4 years ago. I bought one of these: http://www.speedohealer.com
