Post subject:  Mikuni transplant to X1

Hi everyone, its been sometime I last posted on the site, I've been busy with non bike things and now that I've caught up I'm working on my bike again. I was wondering if anyone out there has had any experience or is there any information I can download on the installation instructions to fit Makuni 42-11 to fuel injection X1. eg will it fit straight on to the inlet manifold, will the existing throttle cables fit, does the fuel tank need venting etc, etc. Just in case your wondering, there's nothing wrong with the fuel injection its perfect.

I think Twin Motorcycles do a conversion kit.

I think Trojan does too.

Mich had the conversion on his X1 which used the standard ECM with no VOES correction and hence did poor mpg.

So too did Spook, which had an integrated Crane ignition system behind the timing cover.

You will have to pull the fuel pump out of the tank.

Thanks for all your comments, after mulling it over I'm not going to bother now, I'm going to fit it to my SW1.
