Hi has anybody had trouble with head light and main beam switch. Mine stopped working today, have done a quick fix by supplying light via battery and fuse. Would be grateful for any help. Tazzman916 |

have you tried using the pass button to see if it works..iirc the headlight switches off when starting which probably means there is a relay for the headlight...i may be wrong (as usual) |

Starter relay powers the headlamp and is a very common failure. |

Thanks for that. The pass button dose not work either, I take it if the starter relay had gone I wold not be able to start the bike? but the bike starts fine just the lights that don't work. I'm going to have a good look at wiring at the weekend so maybe I will find the problem I hope. Tazzman916 |

You can swap them all around in the fusebox, no need for a spare, the problem just migrates to another part of the system... |

The problem was the lights were feed via the alarm, re feed from unused number plate light feed. Lights and switch now working OK, also alarm. The lights being feed by the number plate feed is not a problem as the switch only feeds two relays, as the lights are feed direct from the battery see my twin light conversion. Tazzman916 |
