I am replacing my steering bearings. I have got the top yoke off but cannot drop the bottom yoke and stem out. There seems to be a small spacer about half an inch bellow the top thread on the stem. Does the stem and bottom yoke just knock out with gentle persuasion or is there more to it any help would be appreciated |

Thanks for the link. There is nothing that I can see that Is threaded and stopping it from comming apart so a good sharp hit with a hammer should loosen it (famous last words) ha ha |

If it,s an xbs i think you will find that the "half inch spacer" is the inner bearing race that comes out further than the outer race. You should be able to just tap the stem out.Put a bit of copper slip on it when you put it back together,to make it easier next time. |
