Embarrassment factor has now reached 10. :oooops:

I was just re-fitting my exhaust guard and noticed the fricking front mount bolt for the exhaust has vanished! I've had problems getting the torque right on the straps, and I guess it must have worked loose when one of the straps wasn't done up tight enough.

So, part number for front exhaust engine mount bolt and nut please, or suitable size for an alternative from the hardware store.

Thanks.

Check if the two bushings are still there.

I have some bushings if they have gone AWOL

Thanks. Looks to me as though the bushings are present and correct, but I've taken a few photos just to double-check:

And as for suitable bolts, I'm guessing I need a socket cap bolt and nut. Surprisingly I can't find ones long enough on Screwfix. How do these look?

50mm looks about the right length. And I'm guessing a Nyloc nut. Sound good?

Thanks. Oh, and I know the pipe looks disgusting. An Albert is on order ;)

Nyloc nuts are to be avoided where hot...use a spring washer :!:

OK, here's what I bought. Fits just right, so may be useful to others :

Socket head cap screw: http://www.margnor-online.co.uk/253m8x55.html

Nut: http://www.margnor-online.co.uk/211m8.html

I also bought this washer, although didn't use it as I wasn't sure whether it should go near-side or off-side:

Great service from this place btw, so definitely recommended. :yup:

The fit without the washer is certainly snug. I couldn't find any reference to torque, so just did it up good and tight.

Advice on which side the washer should go? Also, would some red loctite be a good idea or overkill?

Thanks ;)
