XB12S Lightning 2006 (4000 miles)
Last time i ran the bike about 4 months ago, bike ran perfect.
Started yesterday, fired up 1st time, however running very roughly, backfiring etc.
Took it down the road for about 5 miles still same, i could feel it trying to pick up onto what felt like both cylinders.
could this be stale petrol ? Always run on Optimax.
I know i should ride it more but i do have my reasons.
Any ideas on where to start looking.
Bikes been serviced properly from day one by BB.

One plug wet cos you started the bike then shut it down with the engine cold?

Fully charge your Battery, then test.
Reset TPS,then test.
Fresh fuel wouldn't hurt.
New plugs ?
Preform Closed loop learning ride.(8 miles under 3500 rpm)
Exhaust gas leak ?
