XB12S Lightning 2006 (4000 miles) Last time i ran the bike about 4 months ago, bike ran perfect. Started yesterday, fired up 1st time, however running very roughly, backfiring etc. Took it down the road for about 5 miles still same, i could feel it trying to pick up onto what felt like both cylinders. could this be stale petrol ? Always run on Optimax. I know i should ride it more but i do have my reasons. Any ideas on where to start looking. Bikes been serviced properly from day one by BB. Thanks Dave. |

One plug wet cos you started the bike then shut it down with the engine cold? |

Fully charge your Battery, then test. Reset TPS,then test. Fresh fuel wouldn't hurt. New plugs ? Preform Closed loop learning ride.(8 miles under 3500 rpm) Exhaust gas leak ? |
