Post subject: uly fuel pump

Have noticed lately that the fuel pump continues to make the priming noise on the uly, once ignition is turned on. starts at the normal high pitch then after few seconds goes to a low tone, And stays. did read somewhere that the pump wires could be chaffed?? any info appreciated
