When on long trips twice the neutral light as intermittently glows on and off.As not come on solid bright just glows dimmly and goes out in the matter of a second or two.It as happened on two runs on a34 and m40.All other time fine.

Nah, the A34 is great fun, loads of roundabouts about 2-4 miles apart!

Just a thought, it's not when you change from 1st to 2nd is it?

Had and early XB9 (03) and that had a problem with a flickering neutral light. I thought it might be the switch being faulty. Very shortly afterwards the gearbox locked up at 70mph when the 4th gear dogs broke. If its a later bike (06 or later from memory) the gearbox was modified and it isn't likely to do that again.

If I'm wrong about the dates I'm sure someone who actually does know what they are talking about will be along soon.
