What ya gonna use to turn it at the correct rev range the motor produces, i.e tickover to redline and have you worked out the ratio the driving gear to the pump gear produces, also wouldn't the amount flowed depend on the temp/viscosity of the oil. Just wondering like.

I've never had to consider the flow rate of an oil pump before... and please correct me if I'm wrong... but isn't it pretty much a function of its capacity and its shaft speed? If it holds say 5ml. and turns at cam speed (or whatever), can't you just calculate the theoretical flow rate for any given engine rpm? Sure, there will be 'losses', but won't it give you a good enough idea?.... (unless you're using compressible oil that is)
