Was out on my 2006 XB9 and the red light came on and the battery ran down. Is there an easy way to tell whether it's the regulator or the alternator that's at fault? Assuming that it is one or the other, as it's a good battery and all of the connections are tight.

FFS can non of you guys be bothered to check out the 'How To' section.......what's the point of us putting together a section that nobody can be arsed to read
