fitted a lucky gear in a forum members engine safto  ............and found this  ,this may be why it pinks when hot  .........oooa a tooth is worth almost 8 degrees

Kinell ......lucky it didn't bend valves.......are you sure it was like that when you stripped it, or is that how you put it back together

when the cover let go it opend about 10 mm not enough to pull the gear out of mesh  so highly unlikly

when the cover was fully removed the cams all stayed in the cam box non were in the cover dude |

Whatever mate.......I've been inside 100's of these motors and never seen cams out of time.......pretty sure that a tooth out would result in valve/valve/piston interface
