These seem a very tight fit, what's the best way of getting them in without damaging them :?: Can I use lubricant, copaslip etc etc :?: I don't really want to tap them in and get them stuck halfway in :oooops:

Exhaust? Yeah, I use copa-slip cos I want them to have a good chance of the coming out again with minimum corrosion...

They are hard to get in, but just ease in patiently with your thumbs.

There are special tools to push them in with:

But I have always managed without one.

Maybe Spondon440 could make us some...

Are you going to use copa-slipped K nuts on the exhaust studs when you have finished?

I make a small chamfer/bevel at the "back side" edge, then use a large hex socket to push them in.

Oh yeah, make sure the bore is clean, cos they have a habit of oxidising which reduces the diameter and makes it harder to get the gaskets in.

There's a car tuning place on Ebay that flogs them - I think they even do silver plated ones too, if you fancy some propper bling lOl

If you get the standard grey finished ones they look like they come pre oxidized which saves you all the trouble of riding through winter to get the same effect :D :D :D
