First ride out since October , went 1 mile all was fine, then the speedo packed in , so I stopped the engine turned the key & the speedo & rev counter twissel around fine , I get going & still no speedo , a couple of miles later & the beautiful pot hold of Great Britain it starts up again intermittently ? Any help please? Or who can I trust to sort it in Nottinghamshire that won't rip me off? Cheers & beers Lee |

Harness chaffing at headstock? Oxidised terminals in connectors? |

A friends speedo on his 08 XB12 scg packed up a couple of years ago and then would work for the odd few miles . It turned out to be the speed sensor that had failed. The spares man at the local H D shop said "I have sold a few of these recently" so it might be this at fault. |
