i have an xb9 with the thunderstorm engine can i perform this mod on that motor ? its a 2008 bike but the vin plate says made 2007 . |

No, works on up to and including 2007 model. You say yours is a 2008 model. |

Mines an 06 spec model, but was made Dec 05. I believe that year of build can be 5 or 6 months prior to the model year. ![]() Does your XB have revised oblong timing/cam cover of 08 models on right side of engine, or is it same round plate as 03-07s? ![]() |

if the 10th number on the vin is a 7 then its a 2007 model. also can tell by the gear pump casing on the right hand side of the engine. if the casing is round then its an 07, the 08's on used a more oval cover |

thanks man yeah my oil pump cover is oblong not round so i cant use that method do you know of any way i can do it |
