Hiya buellers I have a 02 xb9r that is causing major grief..... Having found a severed wire on ignition switch(grey/red) I thought that I had it sorted, but the symptoms are the same as I had before!........ The bike rode perfectly but I noticed that the speedo/tacho needles would sweep the dials when manoeuvering bike into parking places and then into the garage, so moving the front end from lock to lock I found that the headlights would go out the same time as the dials swept, and then come back on again, so upon checking wiring I found the grey/red wire from the ignition switch had severed so I repaired it......... not exactly rocket science is it! Where does this wire go? Why do I now have a high beam indicator on ? Why do I only have headlights on when the engine kill switch is on? Doing my head in big style |

Checked all wires. Repaired ignition switch. Convinced its headlight relay but don't have one to hand and don't want to give my money to Harley! Are there any alternatives? |
