Hiya buellers I have a 02 xb9r that is causing major grief..... Having found a severed wire on ignition switch(grey/red) I thought that I had it sorted, but the symptoms are the same as I had before!........ The bike rode perfectly but I noticed that the speedo/tacho needles would sweep the dials when manoeuvering bike into parking places and then into the garage, so moving the front end from lock to lock I found that the headlights would go out the same time as the dials swept, and then come back on again, so upon checking wiring I found the grey/red wire from the ignition switch had severed so I repaired it......... not exactly rocket science is it! Where does this wire go? Why do I now have a high beam indicator on ? Why do I only have headlights on when the engine kill switch is on? Doing my head in big style

Checked all wires. Repaired ignition switch. Convinced its headlight relay but don't have one to hand and don't want to give my money to Harley! Are there any alternatives?

Swap the relays around first
Visit a Ford garage
